Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), in partnership with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and PwC, are hosting an exciting event about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and skills in Northern Ireland’s agri-food sector.

The event will provide support to NI agri-food businesses in their journey with AI.  It will aim to inspire NI agri-food businesses on the ‘art of the possible’ in relation to using AI, and provide insight on overcoming concerns and barriers to effective AI integration and how businesses can best upskill their workforces.

Part of the event will involve introducing NI agri-food businesses to the UKRI’s AI Skills Hub, a new online, free of charge resource that aims to support businesses throughout the UK with AI upskilling.  The event will also draw on the existing insight and support from Momentum One Zero’s Agri-Food Hub and the Institute for Global Food Security.

The event will conclude with a drinks reception providing an opportunity to connect with industry peers, share insights, and build relationships that can support businesses on their AI journey.  Don’t miss out!

Details of the event are as follows:

📅 Date: Wednesday 1st October 2025
🕦 Time: 2.30pm - 5.00pm, with refreshments and networking from 5pm
📅 Topic: Demystifying AI for agri-food in Northern Ireland: how can businesses upskill and seize the opportunity?
📍 Location: QUB Business School, 185 Stranmillis Road, Belfast BT9 5EE
